Ways to Have a Cheap yet Enjoyable Trip in the Philippines
How to make the most out of your trip in any point of the Philippines? There are different ways how to do so. Maybe I’ll just have a short list of the basic tips you must remember to have a stress-free, happy vacation without being broke.
1. Search the net for airline promos. Take advantage of air fare discounts. You know this is where you can save the most if you are updated on the latest promos.
2. Travel in a large group. A group of 10 would do. Why? So you can save much on rentals and resort accommodations. This is also a nice tip for adventure trips like when you go on island-hopping or something.
3. Search for the cheapest, yet comfortable hotel or resort accommodation. This is a better option especially if you are to go on a beach and you would spend most of your stay outdoors.
4. Befriend a local. Better if you already know someone from the destination you plan to go to. He might accommodate you or help you find the best place to stay that’s within your budget. Since he’s a native of that place, he knows where to take you so you could have the best vacation.
5. Souvenirs. I don’t know if you tourists are aware of this, but prices of souvenirs get lower as the day ends. So if you want to buy something to bring home, go to the local market in the late afternoon or early evening before the stores close.
