Essential Things to Pack for a Beach Trip

beach bagPacking for a beach trip could be a hassle for some while there are others who can do this in just a breeze. How many or how much of the items you must bring all depends on the length of your stay.

To make packing things for a beach trip as easy as 1-2-3, you must keep in mind the beach essentials your beach bag must have.

What are these beach essentials?
1. Sunscreen. If your don’t want to go back home with sunburn or skin irritation, pack sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater) as well as lip balm and hair products that could protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.
2. Sunglasses. Both for fashion and for protection. Wear sunglasses with enough UV protection.
3. Hat. It does not only cover your hair but your face as well.
4. Blankets. Bring a thin sheet that you can use on the sand. There are some fabrics that don’t trap too much sand so better use something of that kind.
5. Beach toys. Frisbee is the easiest to fit into your beach bag. If you have kids, bring floats and sand toys for them to enjoy.
6. Book or magazine. This could keep you company in the lazy hours when you don’t want to be out on the beach when the sun’s too high.
7. Drinking water. Bring a water bottle or a tumbler that you can refill anytime so you won’t get dehydrated.
8. Swimsuit. Your beach trip won’t be complete without your swimwear.
9. Flip flops. You know it’s a must.
10. Sarong or cover-ups. If you want to walk around the beach, you can wear sarong in different ways. Cover-ups are great for evening beach parties where you can just wear it with your swimsuit underneath.
11. Goggles and snorkelling equipment. Snorkelling is one fun bonding activity especially with kids.
12. Moisturizing lotion. To prevent skin dryness. There are some that have sunscreen, great pick.

As for your clothes, again, it depends on the length of your trip. Bring thin and light weight clothes that you can easily pack into your bag. Don’t forget to pack thin night pants and long sleeves as the temperature could get colder at night.

Happy packing! =)
