This January, one of the Philippines’ grandest festivals and Cebu’s pride will again draw visitors from different parts of the country and the world. The Sinulog festival is the Queen City of the South’s much awaited event of the year.
Held every year on the third Sunday of January, Sinulog is celebrated in Cebu City to honor the Sto. Niño (child Jesus). With the beat of the drums and the thousands of people who gather for the Holy Mass, Sinulog is truly a very festive event that you shouldn’t miss if you plan to travel to the Philippines in this time of the year. Sinulog literally means “graceful dance”.
