Boracay Getaway: How to Plan a Hassle-free Trip
How to make your Boracay trip the best getaway ever?
You already reserved a plane ticket for you and your friends’ Boracay trip. You’ve had countless hours of waiting for the day to come and you’re just so thrilled you wouldn’t want to miss a single detail of your plan. Forget your worries for we’ve gathered some useful travel tips on how to make the most out of your Bora adventure.

Tip #1: Travel light. Don’t bring too many clothes you don’t really need. Besides, you’re going to Bora to enjoy the beach so a comfy swimwear and a very functional sarong is all you need for most of the time. Choose the kinds of fabric you’ll pack and opt for clothes that are wash and wear.
Tip #2: Search ahead of time of the possible hotels or resorts to check-in. This way you can have enough time to decide with your friends what to choose among the packages they offer. Having reservations is also a must.
Tip #3: Upon landing on Kalibo airport you’ll spend the next two hours on a bus going to Caticlan so have something to snack on while you travel. If your group can fill in a van, you can rent one for yourselves and pay for a cheaper value.

Tip #4: When you arrived on the island, be informed of the activities you can do for the rest of your stay. Aside from getting the natural tan, you can do island trekking by renting a boat. Bigger boats are better and safer. You can talk to other groups who would want to join you so it would be easier to make deals of the fare with the boatman. Aside from island hopping, you can enjoy activities such as banana boat, paragliding, and the ultimate Frisbee for daytime then go bar hopping or watch fire dancers perform during nightime.
Tip #5: Who says you can’t shop in Bora? There are lots of shops in the island but first, you must learn how to haggle! Make tawad like an expert ‘cause there are plenty of cheaper goods that you can buy in Boracay tiangges or flea market that you can also find in souvenir shops. Buy in bulks with your friends so you can avail bigger discounts as you go.
Tip #6: If you’re staying in a posh hotel (like Fairways and Blue Waters), you can spend lesser on your other activities while in Bora. Instead of going to the bars, your group can just buy a case of beer and gulped it all as you warm yourselves with the heat of a bon fire. Easy and cheaper chill out!
Tip #7: Be friendly. Talk to the locals and ask more about Bora so next time you go there, you’ll have another hassle-free island escape plus the best finds only the natives know.
You don’t need to be an O.C. to carry out all these plans. Spontaneity is another thing if you want impulsive fun. So, visit Bora and indulge yourself of a grand Epicurean treat!
